Six-Year-Old Celebrates Birthday by Giving Back: Donates Sports Equipment and Funds to WCCRA

RENOVO — Most kids love birthday parties and gifts, but one little girl celebrating her sixth birthday chose to ask for something special.

Genevieve “GG” Fantaskey, daughter of Jeff and Michelle Fantaskey, made a heartfelt birthday request: instead of traditional presents, she asked for various sports balls to donate to the Western Clinton County Recreation Authority (WCCRA). Additionally, she encouraged people to donate money in her honor to support the Rec Center.

Last week, GG presented her donations to the board of directors at their monthly meeting. Pictured here, GG proudly holds a check for $467, along with the assortment of balls she received to donate (above).

The WCCRA, a vital asset to Renovo, is sustained through grants, donations, fundraisers, and events. The board expressed their gratitude for GG’s kindness and generosity. “Thank you GG, for your big heart!”
