Lady Wildcats Battle P-O in 3-1 Loss
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The Lady Wildcat volleyball team played aggressive and a t times inspired tonight against Philipsburg-Osceola, but came up short 3-1 in a non-conference game.
Most of the individual games were much closer than the final outcome. In the first game it was a a true see-saw battle with norther team gaining more than a 3 point margin, that sw many ties and lead changes throughout. The Lady Mounties helps a slim 25-22 edge at the end for the first win of the evening.
In the second game, CM game out on fire, playing more determined, returning the favor to P-O for a 25-20 win.
In the third game Central Mountain stumbled and allowed the Lady Mountaineers to sprint out in front down the stretch for a 25-13 win.
In the third game, the Lady ‘Cats battled valiantly once more in another see-saw battle but Philipsburg-Osceola tipped the teeter totter in their favor at the end with a 25-23 win that was settled after a very long volley that was well played on both sides of the net, dashing the Lady Wildcats hopes of a tie-breaker game.
Leading the way for CM were Evie Rembold with 2 aces, 3 kills and 4 assists while Loni Duck added 6 kills and 14 assists on the night.
Next up for Central Mountain ia a road trip to Hollidaysburg on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2019.
