Cardboard Boat Races (Video Report)
LOCKPORT – It has become the annual mid-summer fan favorite, the Cardboard Boat Races. The event is the Saturday, mid-day marquis event for the Woodward Township River Fest celebration.
There are four rules for constructing the boats entered for racing. Only cardboard, non-toxic glue, non-toxic paint and duct tape may be used.
Safety is of utmost importance and all participants in the races must wear a personal flotation device. There are many safety personnel in and around the water should their services should be needed.
