24th Woodward Township Riverfest Begins Thursday

LOCKPORT – The 24th annual Riverfest begins at 5 p.m. Thursday and runs through the 10 p.m. fireworks Saturday.

The site is the Lockport Boat Launch Park along the Susquehanna River and highlights will include the annual Lynne Ramm Memorial Cardboard Boat Race Saturday at 1 p.m. and race organizers expect a large turnout of crafts, seaworthiness to be determined. Saturday will also see the 5 p.m. Duck Derby with a $1,000 first price and a spectacular fireworks display Saturday at 10 p.m.

The Riverfest will again feature three nights of music (Snug on Thursday, Big Daddy Bangers on Friday and Rize on Saturday), plus food and arts and crafts all three days. The annual fundraiser for Woodward Township recreation and the Dunnstown Fire Company starts at 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, with an earlier start on Saturday.
