Busy Week Continues for Clinton and Keystone
LOCK HAVEN – It’s going to be a big holiday week for local softball and baseball teams competing in the various divisions of the District 12 Little League tournaments. This is a great opportunity for local sports fans to support the area young people representing their community.
Tonight, the Clinton 8-10 All-Stars will take on Hepburn Lycoming in the final round game at the Clinton Filed located at 32 Myrtle St, Lock Haven. Should Clinton win this game they will advance to the Section 3 tournament.
On Thursday, the Clinton Junior All-Stars (ages 13-14) will host the Section 3 tournament at the Clinton Field. Towanda, the District 15 champion, is the only other opponent in Section 3. The tournament will be a best of three format with the first game set for 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 4 and the second round on Friday, July 5 at 6 p.m. and the third ‘if’ game is slated for 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 6.
The Keystone Junior All-Stars (ages 13-14) will play their next game at Loyalsock on Wednesday, July 3 at Loyalsock. The field is located at 2105 Northway Rd, Williamsport, PA.
Then there is the highly anticipated double-header championship round at Volunteer Stadium in South Williamsport on Friday, July 5 starting at 6 p.m. when the Keystone 9-11 All-Stars take the field followed by the Keystone 11-12 All-Stars to play at 8:15 p.m. A win Friday for either team would send them to the Section 3 tournament, a loss would force a Saturday rematch if needed in the double elimination tournament.
Stay tuned for further details for the Keystone Intermediate 50/70 All-Stars as they will host the state championship tournament in Beech Creek starting July 9.
