Clinton Softball Dusts Easy Lycoming, 12-6
LOCK HAVEN – The Clinton Major softball team made its first foray in the postseason a successful one, a Friday evening 12-6 win over visiting East Lycoming.
The win advances coach Kevin Tripp’s team to the District 12 winners’ bracket final, Sunday at 2 p.m. at South Williamsport.
Jacey Tripp went the distance in the circle with a 3-hitter; she helped her cause with a 3-for-4 hitting performance, including a triple. Catcher Taleia Kitner went 3-for-3 with a triple. Clinton piled up 13 hits in all. Rylan Andrews had two, including a double; Sophie Mitchell with two including a triple; and Ava Doyle with a triple.
