LOCKPORT – This year’s annual Clinton County American Cancer Society Relay for Life ended Saturday night with word that more than $75,000 had been raised in the fight against cancer and volunteer lead organizer Michael Bilbay said there is additional money to be counted.

Bilbay said, “It’s pretty incredible to see everyone in Clinton County come together to fight against cancer. For such a small area to beat our goal by $10,000 is outstanding.”

Leading fundraising teams was the Bucktail Medical Center with over $20,000 raised, the bulk of those funds from BMC’s annual Ride for a Cure (the next ride is scheduled for June 8 this year). Other top fundraising teams were Flowers of Hope with over $17,000 and Team Englert with better than $6,000.
