Huntingdon Rolls over Wildcats, 96-58

That second period would prove to be fateful with Huntingdon rolling up a 30-12 effort over CM to hold a substantial 48-28 lead heading into the break.

“They got off to a 10-2 start to which we answered with a run of our own,” said CM head coach Tyler Bardo, “We battled back to tie it up early in the second quarter. We never really had another run of our own after that.”

The Bearcats kept up the pressure by by putting together an 11-2 run to get things started in the third quarter. This time they outpaced CM 25-12 to extend their advantage to 63-40 with eight minutes remaining in the contest.

“I thought we had some guys take advantage of opportunities when they came around,” Bardo shred, “Huntingdon is a good team with many pieces. But we also have more to offer. We’ve proven that. We need to stop the roller coaster and find consistency. We do that first by maintaining expectations throughout.” Bardo summed up.

The loss takes Central Mountain to 3-7 overall, 3-3 in the PHAC.

The Wildcats will next host PHAC leader, Danville on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019.
