Mincer Announces for City Council


LOCK HAVEN – City council member Bill Mincer has released his candidacy announcement for the 2019 election, as seen below:
“William H. Mincer has announced he will seek election to Lock Haven City Council in 2019.

“Mincer, who has been a resident of Lock Haven since 1991, was appointed to City Council following a vacancy in late 2018.

“A former member of the U.S. Army Reserves, Mincer is the director of Sport Camps at Penn State University. He formerly was employed as athletic director at Jersey Shore Area School District. He previously served on the Williamsport Recreation Commission on behalf of the Williamsport YWCA as the director of Recreation and Aquatics for the YWCA and the City of Williamsport.

“Mincer has also served as a member of the Recreation and Parks Board and the Zoning Hearing Board, as well as city representative on the Ross Library Board of Trustees.

“A graduate of Lock Haven High School, Mincer received his Bachelor of Science degree from Lock Haven University and his Masters of Science degree in Sports Administration from California University of Pennsylvania.

“Mincer and his wife, Chasity (McCann), have two children, daughter Stacia, a 2016 Central Mountain High School graduate and junior at Penn State University, and son Peyton, a senior at Central Mountain.

“He currently has a Facebook page open for public comment called ‘William Mincer for Lock Haven City Council’ which he encourages city residents to visit and express concerns or ideas they may have for the future of Lock Haven.

“The family has lived in the city’s Fourth Ward, on South Highland Street, since 1997.”
