Jersey Shore’s Early Lead Too Much For Lady ‘Cats
JERSEY SHORE – It was another tough road game for the Lady Wildcat basketball squad as they fell behind the Lady Bulldogs early and couldn’t recover, falling to Jersey Shore, 62-50.
‘Shore ran up a 43-26 halftime lead fueled by Hannah Kaufman’s 18 point effort in the first two quarters. The Lady ‘Cats did outscore Jersey Shore 24-19 in the second half but the deficit was just too great.
Morgan Wetzel led CM with 16 points followed by Quinlynn McCann with 11 and Avery Baker with 10. Alyssa Fisher dropped in 6 points, Summer Flanagan with 5 and Madyson Smith with 2.
For Jersey Shore, Kauffman finished with 21 while Aubrey Stetts scored 12, Reba Lorson with 11. Hailey Stetts scored 7, Sadie Griswold, 7 and Brielle Hess with 3.
Jersey Shore is now 9-5 overall, 4-3 in the PHAC. Central Mountain drops to 0-11 for the season, 0-6 in conference play.
Central Mountain will next host Danville on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019.
