Wildcats Continue Quest at Buckskin Holiday Classic
LANCASTER – After a tumultuous first day of wrestling at the Buckskin Holiday Classic at Conestoga High School, Central Mountain continues their quest for a title after finishing first in the team race yesterday.
The Wildcats have four wrestlers vying for spots in the championship finals this morning with Derek Keen (106), Taylor Weaver (113), Johnny Shreffler (120) and Dalton Bechdel (126), all recording falls in their quarter final matches yesterday.
Still alive in the consolation rounds are: Cody Coleman (138), Lane Porter (145), Austin Confer (170), Tanner Riggle (220) and Jacob Edwards (285) joined Alonzo Henry (152), Caleb Porter (160), Gage Sutliff (182) and Nikolas Miller (195) in the wrestle backs.
We will do our best to bring you the results for all the Central Mountain wrestlers participating in the tournament. The realists will appear below and update automatically as we get them.
UPDATE – After the Semi-Final round, Central Mountain is holding on to the top spot in the team race with 162.0 points followed by: Father Judge, 153.0; Central Daupin, 148.5; Oween J. Roberts, 123.5 and New Oxford, 119.0.
Bellefonte is in seventh place with 115.0; Shik is 11th with 96.5; Philipsburg-Osceola, is 14th with 86.0 and Jersey Shore is 26th with 30.0.
Johnny Shreffler (120) and Dalton Bechdel (126) will wrestle for first place in the championship finals slated for 2:30 p.m.
