Game Commission Investigates Unlawful Elk Killing in Sproul State Forest


JERSEY SHORE – The Pennsylvania Game Commission Northcentral Office is seeking the public’s assistance in tracking down the unlawful killing of two elk in the Sproul State Forest in November.
The agency took to Facebook asking for help from the public:

“We need your help. Two elk – a cow and her calf – were unlawfully killed in Snowshoe Township, Centre County, on the Sproul State Forest. We believe the elk were most likely killed during the two week rifle deer season in November. State Game Warden Mike Ondik has been investigating the case for the past several weeks and is in need of help from the public. If you have any information that might be connected to this case, please contact the Game Commission’s Northcentral Region Office at 570-398-4744 or our Operation Game Thief Hotline at 1-888-PGC-8001. Tipsters can remain confidential.”
