Borowicz Selects District Office Manager

New Borowicz office manager, Scarlet Winkleman

LOCK HAVEN – State Rep. – Elect Stephanie Borowicz has a Lock Haven office and a district office manager.

The soon-to-be new 76th district representative was elected in November and recently opened her Lock Haven office, Suite 2 at 18 E. Main Street. Manning the office is the new district office manager, Scarlet Winkleman. She said she interviewed and was selected for the position. She was not involved in this year’s state House campaign. She is a native of Ann Arbor, MI and the wife of Kenneth Winkleman. They reside in Mill Hall with their son, Jake, 6, a student at Lock Haven Catholic School. Mr. Winkleman works at S & A Homes in State College.

Mrs. Winkleman has a background in corporate event planning and said she had decided to return to the workforce after giving birth to and raising her son. She said the new representative will also staff an office on Water Street in Milesburg and that office is currently undergoing renovations.

Borowicz meanwhile will be sworn in on Tuesday, Jan. 1 in Harrisburg. Borowicz won her first term in Harrisburg on her second try, defeating Mike Hanna Jr. in November. Two years previously she had lost to Mike Hanna Sr., who recently completed 14 terms in the House.

For purposes of continuity with district constituents, Mrs. Winkleman said, the Borowicz Lock Haven office will maintain the senior Hanna’s old Lock Haven office phone number, 570-748-5480.

A formal announcement on office staffing and related matters is expected at some point shortly after the new representatives is sworn in.
