Charles F. “Chip”Perry -Obituary

Charles F. Perry “Chip”, 69, of New Columbia, Pa. went to eternal rest surrounded by his loving family at his home on December 18, 2018.

Born on March 2, 1949 at Renovo Hospital to the late Jean M. Mills of Renovo, Pa.

Chip graduated from Bucktail High School in 1967. He married the love of his life on June 09, 1969. He worked as a foreman for Pennsylvania Power and Light Company for 42 years, retiring on January 1, 2010

He was preceded in death by infant son, David Mills Perry (12-20-1972), his mother Jean, and his beloved grandparents, William “Hindu” and Maude Mills of Renovo, Pa.

Surviving is his wife, of 49 years, Ethel K. (Shadle) “Kaye”. His children, Stephanie and ( Dorsey) Hauck Jr, Danville Pa., Courtney and (Gordon) Titus, of Jersey Shore Pa. and Drs. William and (Stephanie) Perry of Bakersfield, Ca. And his loving dog Tobi.

“Pop” was blessed with eleven grandchildren- Joshua, Travis, Chelsea, Caitlin, Dylan, Hart, Evi, Cort, Memphis, River and Savannah as well as twelve great grandchildren. A sister, Linda A. Knauss of South Williamsport, Pa. and a brother, Raymond (Phyllis) Werts, Sr. of West Renovo.

Chip was not one sit around. He enjoyed time spent in the woods, his cabin, hunting, fishing, reading, sitting around a good campfire and “fiddle farting” around his home. His most memorable times were spent with his family and the big game hunts out west with his son William.  He was a loyal member of the Loyal Order of the Moose 171, Milton, Pa.

His entire family has many memories of a strong leader who guided his family with strength, kindness and a loving heart. He will be deeply missed by all.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life which will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in Chip’s name may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the American Cancer Society.
