BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The Lady Wildcats employed their usual tactics of solid offense and stingy defense to earn an 8-1 victory over Altoona in the District 6 AAAA semi-final matchup Thursday, March 22, 2014.
Jordan Kaler, Jessica Stouse and Bree Hilty were spirited with their bats for Central Mountain all going 3-4 on the night.
Rachael Shady had another solid performance on the mound recording a total of 11 strikeouts in the game.
With the effort, Central Mountain will face D6 perennial foe, Mifflin County for the third consecutive season in the district final. Cm will face the Huskies at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Penn State University softball complex.
