LHU Wrestling finalizes 2018 Recruiting Class
Head coach Scott Moore and the Bald Eagles have finalized their 2018 recruiting class and LHU wrestling has announced six recent signees.
LOCK HAVEN – The Lock Haven University wrestling team, which returned to the national collegiate wrestling spotlight this past season, has finalized its 2018 recruiting class and the Bald Eagles have announced six additions.
State champions, national prep stars and local standouts highlight the class.
The most recent additions joined the Bald Eagles ‘Early Signees’: Isaac Reid, Luke McGonigal, Dalton Rohrbaugh, and Garrett Rigg.
The new additions that finalized LHU head coach Scott Moore’s 2018 recruiting class includ: Caleb Clymer, Parker McClellan, Imran Heard, A.J. Wilson, Breylon Douglas and Robert Spezza. All six have either signed a National Letter of Intent or have accepted admission to LHU.
As a whole, the class was responsible for 1,211 high school wins, won five individual state championships and the individuals placed at their respective state tournament on 16 total occasions.
The Bald Eagles recruiting class was ranked No. 24 by The Open Mat and was listed as an honorable mention class by FloWrestling.
“This is a talented group of young men and a group that has been successful at the highest level thus far. This class brings depth and experience to our program,” said Moore. “With no question, this class will add great competition to our room.”
“We are excited to about the quality, character and values that each of these young men brings to the future of LHU wrestling,” added Moore. “After a breakout season, it was important for us to match that success in recruiting and this class certainly did that, and it holds its own with the best in the nation. The future is bright for our program, and on the mats, the Bald Eagles will continue to rise.”
