Brushwood State Champion in Gymnastics

COLLEGEVILLE — Abby Brushwood, daughter of Brian and Tiffany Brushwood (Clemente) of State College competed at the PA State Championships in Gymnastics at Ursinus College, Collegeville, PA Sunday May 4. Abby was crowned the State Champion for All-Around with a score of 36.75 and State Champion in Uneven Bars with a score of 9.725.  Nine year-old Abby is a Level 4 gymnast at Centre Elite Gymnastics in State College. This was her second year competing in gymnastics.  Centre Elite competes across Pennsylvania from September through May and competed in Orlando, FL at a national competition at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in January.   At the Orlando competition Abby garnered second place on Floor and sixth All Around. Abby is the granddaughter of Tom & Donna Clemente of Woolrich, Marion & Marci Brushwood of Annapolis and great-granddaughter of Irma Clemente and Genevieve Bressler of Renovo. Photo provided
