Laughner to Attend Baldwin Wallace University

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Central Mountain senior, Alyssa Laughner has chosen to attend Baldwin Wallace University, Berea, Ohio to pursue a degree in biology and neuroscience while she furthers her athletic career in track and field and cross country.

Laughner has been a standout runner for Central Mountain setting the pace for both squads setting several school records in the process.

  • Girls’ XC School Record Holder with a time of 19:00
  • First ever XC Individual District Champion in program history (2017 with a winning time of 19:02)
  • First ever PIAA XC State Medalist in program history for either boys or girls (2017, finished 24th overall in Girls Class AAA Race with a time of 19:31)
  • Two time PHAC Division 1 XC All Star Selection (2015 & 2016)
  • Girls’ Track and Field School Record 1600M Run of 5:15.19

The Baldwin Wallace University Yellow Jackets participate in the Ohio Athletic Conference in the NCAA Division III level.
