District 6 AAAA Basketball Coaches Select All-Star Team
LEWISTOWN – Boys and girls basketball coaches at the five District 6 AAAA schools have selected all-stars for the 2013-14 season.
“District 6 itself does not sponsor or name all-star teams, but the coaches at the AAAA schools wanted to recognize the outstanding efforts of players at the five schools,” Kevin Kodish, spokesperson for the group, said.
“Three of the five District 6 AAAA schools (Altoona, Central Mountain, and Hollidaysburg) are not members of a league, so players from those schools have no chance to receive post-season honors. Creating all-star teams for the boys and girls is a nice way for the coaches to showcase players who performed well this season at the AAAA level.”
