Hyner Challenge v8 Complete
HYNER – Nearly 1,100 participants finished the course in the 8th edition of the Hyner View Trail Challenge on April 26, 2014.
The weather was nearly perfect being a bit chilly and breezy early on, though the sun did manage it’s way into the day to offer more spring like feel.
In the 25k event, David Roche of Palo Alto, CA was the first to cross the finish line completing his 16-mile journey in 2:10:54.54 averaging 7:53 per mile.
Johanna Ohm of State College. PA was the first female finisher in the 25k clocking in with a time of 3:05:04.39. Ohm finished 30th overall.
The first Clinton County resident to finish the 25k was Scott Bair of Mill Hall. Bair recorded a time of 2:57:55.63 finishing 18th overall.
Michele Probst of Lock Haven was the first female runner from Clinton County to finish the 25k. Probst posted a time of 3:32:12.86 and finished 92nd overall.
In the 50k Ultra Challenge version, Ian Golden of Ithica, NY was the overall champion crossing the finish line in 5:02:02.00 averaging 9:56 minutes per mile for the 32-mile course.
Jaqueline Palmer of Newark, Del. was the top female runner in the 50k posting a time of 5:56:12.54 finishing 16th overall.
David Lister of Lock Haven was the top Clinton County resident to finish the 50k in 6:08:06.51 and was 21st overall.
Danielle Barney of Lock Haven was the top female finisher for Clinton County completing the course of the 50k in 7:45:11.80 finishing 89th overall.
