Robert W. Walizer I – Obituary

ObitArtRobert (Bob/Wally) W. Walizer I, age 70, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 in Williamsport, PA.  He is survived by his loving wife of 47 1/2 years, Linda (Hyzer) and his son, Robert W. Walizer II and his wife, Teri (Buck) Walizer, and his brother, Richard Walizer of Renovo.

Bob was born on December 3, 1943, to Warren and Eleanor (Passmore) Walizer, in Renovo, PA. He retired in 1999 as a foreman from PennDot after 35 years of dedicated service. After his retirement, Bob worked part-time for K&L Auto Sales and for the First Church in Renovo.

Bob was a family man who loved spending time with his son hunting.  He was also an avid fly fisherman.  Bob was a very active member of the North Bend United Methodist Church where he helped coordinate and prepare monthly church dinners as well as meals for shut-ins and the needy.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the North Bend United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the North Bend United Methodist Church in memory of Bob.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Moriarty Funeral Home & Crematory, 112 East Church Street, Lock Haven.
