Francis P. King, Jr – Obituary

Francis P. (Duke) King, Jr., age 84, passed away March 19, 2014 in Moreno Valley, CA.

Born in Renovo, he attended schools in Westport and Renovo.

He served 22 years in the USAF, retiring in 1968. He then worked for the California Dept. of Corrections for 22 years, retiring in 1991.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Masako, a son, Stephen and daughter, Suzanne.

At his request, Duke’s ashes will be scattered in the woods behind his childhood home in Westport. As a young boy he roamed the woods observing wildlife and the natural beauty of the area. He spoke often of the beauty of Pennsylvania and its “Trees, trees, and more trees”.
