LHU Women Fall to Fairmont

lhu-hoopsFAIRMONT, W.Va. – Lock Haven University women’s basketball team (1-1) fell today to Fairmont State (2-0) 92-53 to wrap up the 2016 MEC/PSAC Challenge hosted by Fairmont State University.

The 2016 MEC/PSAC Challenge featured two Mountain East Conference (MEC) teams in Concord and host Fairmont State along with LHU and Clarion from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).

Rookie Maimuna Kenneh (Coatesville, Pa./Collegium Charter) was excellent again for LHU as she posted 15 points and hauled in 10 rebounds, nine of which were offensive. Kenneh also dished out four assists.

Lysa Mealing (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) also helped lead The Haven offensively by scoring 15 points and brought in 10 rebounds.

Ayanda McGill-Jefferson (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey) was also a big threat in the paint where she recorded nine rebounds.

The Bald Eagles will host their home opener on Saturday, November 19 at 1 p.m. when they take on fellow PSAC foe Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
