LOCK HAVEN – On the morning of Saturday, February 8, 2014, Wayne Township was filled with the aroma of breakfast and people of all ages were flocking to the Wayne Township Fire Company. The reason: Pancakes!

When planning her Senior Project, Central Mountian High School Senior Hunter Swinehart of Lock Haven decided she wanted to help local Veterans. With the help of the Clinton County Veterans Affairs Office and Team RWB, she held a Pancake Breakfast and bake sale. On February 8th from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Veterans, their families and community members came out for a delicious breakfast of pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs and all the fixin’s. They also had the opportunity to purchase various baked goods and sticky buns. All of the proceeds from the day were donated to the Clinton County Veterans Emergency Fund.

During the breakfast, Hunter had the help of her family and several members of Team RWB, an organization of Veterans, families and community members who support Veterans during their transition from active service to civilian life. Helping with events such as this is just one way that Team RWB is active. They also participate in fitness activities, social activities and service projects. Hunter is a member of Team RWB.

Hunter will graduate from Central Mountain High School in June and is planning to attend Lycoming College.
