Lois C. Crawford – Obituary

Lois C. Crawford, 81, a resident of Hearthside Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, State College, formerly of Long Run Rd., Mill Hall, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the nursing home.
Born on November 20, 1932 in Lamar Township, she was born to the late Charles and Florence Bixel Ramsey.
Lois was a 1951 graduate of Mill Hall High School.
On June 17, 1951 at the First Church of Christ, Lock Haven, she married Arthur L. Crawford who preceded her in death in 2001.
Lois worked as a nurses’ aide in the obstetrician department of Lock Haven Hospital from 1970 until retiring in 1998.
She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church.
Lois is survived by two sons: John V. (Carol) Crawford of Jersey Shore and Michael L. (Cathy) Crawford of Mill Hall; two daughters: Doris (Jim) Rhine of Salona and Tammy (Lester) Hevner of Mill Hall; a brother, Donald Ramsey of Gardeners; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Crawford; a brother, Charles Ramsey; two sisters: Shirley Wells and Bernadine Walizer; and a granddaughter, Cassandra McDermit.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, with Rev. Father Norman Imgrund officiating. Friends and family will be received from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be held at St. Agnes Cemetery.
