Sen. Toomey, Rep. Thompson Offer Round Table Discussion
LOCK HAVEN – The Durrwachter Center on the campus of Lock Haven University was the site of a round table discussion offered by Sen. Pat Toomey (R) and Rep. Glenn Thompson (R). The pair of politicians that represent the area in their respective houses in Washington D.C. were on hand in a public forum to discuss issues with local elected officials, civic leaders and business owners.
Questions ranged from clarification of the the refusal by the federal government to offer assistance for the recent flash flood damage experienced the the Beech Creek and Mill Hall areas posed by Clinton County Commissioner, Jef Snyder … to the impact of the implementation of the Affordable Health Care act and the likely effects it could have on the future of business posed by David Harger, who employs 60 workers locally.
Both politicians offered their views on the matters brought before them, as well as insight as to what and how they could possibly offer solutions using their roles in the Capital.
