Clara B. Buckle – Obituary
Clara B. Buckle, 92, of 399 Irwin St., Lock Haven, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
She was born June 2, 1921 in Terra Haute, Ind., the daughter of the late William and Maude Albright Earlywine. She married Jesse M. Buckle who preceded her in death.
Clara was a homemaker and member of the Blanchard First Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, cooking, and baking. Most of all she cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Richard H. Buckle (Sarah), of Jersey Shore; two sisters, Opal Kwazalla, of Covington, Ky., and Pauline Jodry, of Martinsville, Ill.; a son in law, Thomas R. McDermit, of Lock Haven; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marian McDermit, and six brothers.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, with Pastor Troy Kerstetter officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Lock Haven. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
