Another Road Win for Lady Wildcats
SELENSGROVE – Central Mountain traveled to Selinsgrove and piled up 14 runs, 17 hits, and seven stolen bases. The CM offense “stole” the show, as the Lady Cats jumped out to a 10-0 lead after four innings. Six Lady Wildcats had multiple hits, including Madison Brown (3 for 4), Cait Brush (2 for 2), Autumn Young (2 for 3), Alexis Johnson (2 for 3), Sarah Reeder (2 for 4), and Josie Dershem (2 for 6).
Selinsgrove broke through for a run in the bottom of the 5th. Until that point, CM starter Josie Dershem was working on a perfect game in the circle. Dershem ended up going all 7 innings, scattering 3 hits and yielding 2 earned runs. Dershem benefited from another strong overall defensive performance behind her, which was highlighted by an outstanding diving catch by Maegan Miller in right field.
The win moves the Lady Wildcats to 11-1 on the season. CM travels to Mifflinburg on Thursday for another PHAC divisional game.
