Wildcats Edge Bulldogs 3-2
JERSEY SHORE – The Wildcat’s boys’ tennis (5-2) added another win to the 2016 season by edging rival Jersey Shore 3-2.
CM’s No. 1 player, Kline Williams defeated Jersey Shore’s Todd Sanford in straight sets 6-2, 6-3; while Jersey Shore’s Josh Duda defeated the Wildcats No. 2, Micah Brinker, 6-1, 7-5.
In the battle of No. 3’s, Central Mountain’s Smith Wheary beat Shore’s Connor Anderson, 6-2, 6-3.
In double action Shore took the battle of No. 1 with Dominic manilla and Jake Butzler narrowly defeating CM’s Jordan Confer and Jack Miller, 7-5, 7-6.
In the remaining doubles match, the Wildcats bounced back with Casey Eisenhower and Matt Marasco defeated the Bulldog’s Luke Bischof and Alex Trunzo, 6-4, 7-6.
Next up for Central Mountain is hosting Milton, Wednesday, April 5.
