Grand Lodge Awards

RENOVO – In a ceremony conducted on February 23. 2016, Exalted Ruler Wayne Stoltz presented three area men with Grand Lodge Awards.  All three awards are based on outstanding performance with in the Lodge and the community.

The Renovo Elks Lodge Officer of the Year Award was presented to Charles W. Maxwell, Jr.  Charlie has been a member of the Lodge since 1966, serving as a Trustee for many of the fifty years he has been a member.  Charlie has been instrumental in providing assurance of the success of many of the events staged at the Lodge.

The Elk of the Year Award was presented to Michael L. Coleman.  He has been an Elk since 1972, serving Exalted Ruler and as Treasurer for many years.

Citizen of the Year was presented to Vincent Tarantella, Jr.  Vince is currently the Streets and Park Supervisor for the Renovo Borough and is a prolific provider of ongoing   improvement s in the borough as well as showcasing historic pictures of Renovo on the social media, Face Book.  These donations of historic value have help to bring the revitalization of Renovo to the forefront.  He and his wife, Debbie are partners in Tarantella’s Sudsy Pup.  Vince is also a member of Renovo Area Heritage Park, Bucktail Detachment, #856, Marine Corps League, CCC Camps of Clinton County, Renovo LodgeSons Of Italy, American Legion Post #442 and Commander of Renovo Post 6178.  Vince was also a candidate for County Commissioner in 1915.
