Body Found in Beech Creek

BEECH CREEK – The discovery of the body of a 17 year-old male was discovered in the icy waters of Beech Creek near the Veterans Bridge on Rt 150 was made late Thursday afternoon.

Clinton County Coroner, Zach Hanna has identified the person whose body was found near the Beech Creek bridge Thursday afternoon. The victim was identified as Alex Taylor Witherite, 17, of Beech Creek. Hanna pronounced Witherite dead at the scene at 2:35 p.m. Thursday. He said an autopsy will be held at the Mount Nittany Medical Center to determine the cause of death.
