CM Boys’ Basketball Best Milton 77-66

cm-basketballMILTON – Central Mountain made a road trip to battle Heartland foe, Milton on the hardwoods Wednesday night and claimed a 77-66 win to bring home with them.

The Wildcats battled the Black Panthers evenly in the first quarter with CM edging the hosts 18-16. Then Central Mountain managed to build upon that slight lead to hold a 33-27 advantage at the half.

It was in the third quarter where the Wildcats managed to extend their lead to a comfortable margin outscoring Milton 26-17 for a 59-44 lead after three periods.

Milton did outscore the Wildcats 22-18 in the fourth quarter, but the effort was not enough to change the outcome with CM finishing with the 77-77 win.

Leading the effort for the Wildcats was Wyatt Bumbarger with 22 points, Kyle Everhart followed closely with 16; 12 points coming from outside the 3-point arc. Alex Garbrick had 14, Cole Reeder 9 and Brody Baker 8.

Landon Breon scored 4 with Cordell Muthler and Wyatt Koch each scoring 2.

Next up for the Wildcats is a home contest with Mifflinburg this Friday, Dec. 18, 2015.
