Wildcats Advance 3 to Quarterfinals – KOM Day 1
Council Rock South Solidly in First Place
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The competition was hectic and intense in the early rounds of the 17th Annual King of the Mountain tournament today.
The Wildcats faired well in the first round then there were a few surprising upsets in the second round followed with plenty of battling back in the consolation rounds.
Still alive in the quarter final championship round are: Geo Barzona, 113; Isaac Porter, 195 and Bryce Bitner, 285.
Hanging on and vying for a possible third place finish are: Cody Coleman, 106; Seth Andrus, 126; Colton Weaver, 145; Tanner Weaver, 152; and Hunter Weaver, 220.
Central Mountain is tied with Bellfonte for 17th place overall with 42.5 points after finishing second at Top Hat last week, as an indication of just how fierce the competition is at this venerable tourney.
Jersey Shore, Top Hat Champs a week ago, is in 10th place overall with 49.0 points while CM’s D6 rival Mifflin County is ties with Hempfield and West Chester Henderson for 20th place overall with 35.5 points.
