Wildcat Boys’ Hoops Best BEA 79-50
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Building upon their improving effort from the past couple of seasons, the Wildcat boys’ basketball program made a short trip down Rt 150 ro play backyard rival, BEA, then returned home to celebrate a 79-50 win.
Central Mountain opened the first quarter by nearly doubling up on the hosts 24-14 then kept the pace in the second quarter to hold a 51-25 lead at the half.
In the second half, the Wildcats slowed the pace a bit and BEA managed to outscore the guests 14-12, with the Wildcats still comfortably ahead 63-39 heading into the last stanza where CM outpaced BEA 16-11 to seal the 79-50 victory.
Leading the charge were Alex Garbrick with 21 points followed closely by Kyle Eberhart with 20 that included 5 field goals from outside the arc.
Cole Reader netted 12 with Wyatt Bumbarger adding 7 points. Landon Breon had 6, Nick Carpenetti 4, Cordell Muthler 3 while Justin Neff, Brody Baker and Wyatt Koch each scored 2 points.
