Bucks Fall to CMVT 20-6 (Video Report)

BLOOMSBURG–The Bucktail Bucks (2-5) just could not get things done against Columbia-Montour Vo-Tech (2-5). The home team took advantage of three big plays for scores as they went on to win 20-6.

Bucktail tried getting the running game going in the first half, then started throwing the ball in the second quarter. The Bucks would score the first touchdown of the game at the 2:58 mark of the second quarter and leading 6-0, quarterback Mike Casper scoring on a keeper from 1 yard out.

CMVT struck back quickly as the Bucktail passing game went sour as CMVT came up with four interceptions. CMVT score on a 62 yard pass, then on an 18 yard pass right before a 60 yard pass completed by CMVT. This was after each team exchanged interceptions, all within the last minute of the second quarter before halftime as CMVT was leading 14-6.

The only scoring in the second half came off a 49 yard run by CMVT at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Bucktail had some nice long drives going just to see it fall apart.

A couple of nice plays that Keifer Mason had from a double reverse as he would find Josh Knauff down field for two completions totaling 50 yards. One of those set up the score for the Bucks on the four yard line.

Bucktail is now into its “bye” week next week before returning to action with a Homecoming game Friday, Oct. 30 against Nativity BVM.
