Water St Beautification Project Continues

LOCK HAVEN – The front of the Fallon Hotel on E. Water Street is getting new sidewalk brickwork done this week, part of Lock Haven’s downtown beautification program. Employees from Wolyniec Construction are working on the Vesper to Grove Streets link while HRI Inc employees are now well underway on the Grove to Jay Streets section. Improvements will involve new curbing, brick sidewalks, ornamental lighting and new trees.

These projects are the final of some 15 downtown blocks to have received the upgrades. The city last year had applied for state transportation funds to do two East Church Street blocks but was turned down.

Traffic has been limited to westbound only on the two blocks during workdays.
