CM Volleyball 3-3 in Opening Tourney (Video Report)

cm-volleyballBALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP — The Central Mountain girls’ volleyball team won its 4-team pool but the Lady Wildcats’ mark was not quite good enough to get the squad into the final round of four as they hosted their annual opening tournament on Saturday.

The Lady ‘Cats of second-year head coach Megan Coleman split with Shamokin, 20-25, 25-8; Troy, 25-18, 17-25; and Tyrone, 25-17 and 23-25. That gave Central Mountain a 3-3 mark and a pool win on a point differential of plus-17 as all four teams went 3-3.

But four other teams in the 12-team field had better overall marks and moved on: West Branch, 6-0; Towanda, 6-0; Wellsboro, 4-2; and Philipsburg-Osceola, 4-2.
The Lady Wildcats will have their regular season home opener on Tuesday with Penns Valley.
