Clifford E. Thorson – Obituary

Clifford E. Thorson, 91, of Renovo died peacefully at Bucktail Medical Center on August 31, 2015.

Clifford was born Sept., 12, 1923 in Renovo a son of the late Ernest & Ruth (Walters) Thorson.

He was married to the former Juliann Leoni. They celebrated 67 years of marriage together.

He graduated from Renovo High School and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Clifford was a former member of the Renovo Rotary Club.

Clifford owned and operated a car repair garage in Renovo for over 50 years. He made many friends during that time. He was also an avid tinker and mentor.
Most of all Cliff was a loving husband, father, uncle and a quiet, soft-spoken gentleman and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Surviving are his loving wife, one daughter Mary Ruth Shaw and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a nephew John J. DeJoice, Sr. in 2013.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, Sept., 3, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 925 Huron Ave., Renovo with the Rev. Charles Ugo officiating.
Friends and relatives will be received form 1:30 – 2:00 p.m. at the church.
Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hyner.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Church Improvement fund in his memory.
