Mills Park Public Housing for Sale?
RENOVO – The Clinton County Housing Authority this week confirmed reports it is looking at closing and selling its Mills Park public housing units along Huron Avenue between 13th and 14th Streets. Authority executive director Jeff Rich said there is no timeline for selling for the 27-unit buildings but indicated it would be at least a year-long process. He blamed a declining occupancy rate for the proposal, noting five of the 27 units are currently vacant. The news comes amid a report that Renovo’s revitalization group, PRR, is in the process of seeking a meeting with the Housing Authority and other officials about the status of public housing in Renovo.
