LHU’s Kristen Selvage Resigns

lhu-laxLOCK HAVEN – Less than a month after she was named NCAA Division II coach of the year, Lock Haven University head lacrosse coach Kristen Selvage has announced her resignation after 14 seasons as the head coach.


Tuesday of this week brought word that Selvage was named the new head coach at Coastal Carolina University and word of her LHU resignation followed.


Selvage, a 1998 LHU graduate returned to her alma mater and took over The Haven program before the start of the 2002 season. Since then Selvage had led the Bald Eagles for the last 14 seasons, leading the team to new heights, including a Division II runner-up finish in 2014.
 
This past season, Selvage recorded her 200th win at LHU. Selvage led Lock Haven to a 200-62 record in her 14 seasons at The Haven.


In 14 seasons, she was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Coach of the Year three times. Along with coaching numerous All-American, All-Region and All-Conference players, Selvage led LHU to five PSAC Championships, eight NCAA DII Tournaments, six Final Four appearances and three National Championship games.
