key-base-logoWELLSBORO – It was nearly a repeat of the District 12 reprieve the Keystone 10-11 All-Stars accomplished earlier in the month. Keystone entered the sixth inning with a 3-0 lead and summarily had two outs with two runners on base … one more out and the Section 3 title was theirs to claim. Then the wheels fell off.

After a combination five walks and four hits before they could retire the side, resulted in a 7-3 lead for South Columbia.

Keystone would battle back valiantly in the bottom of the sixth inning but could only manage one additional run in the effort.

Offensively, Keystone had 7 hits on the day punctuated by two dingers, the first by Kaden Falls in second inning, then another by Aaron Miller to open the fifth inning.

Nash Welch had a double in the game with Blade Myers, Ryan Pentz, Corbin Homan and Kyle Seyler all contributing singles.

On the mound, Brady Bendik pitched the first 5 1/3 inning with Ryan Thompson and Aaron Miller in relief.

The loss ends the 2015 season for the Keystone 10-11 All-Stars.
