LHU’s Selvage Named National Coach of the Year

lhu-laxLOCK HAVEN –After leading the Lock Haven University lacrosse team on a historic run during the 2015 season, LHU head lacrosse coach Kristen Selvage has been named the 2015 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches’ Association (IWLCA) Division II Coach of the Year.
Along with her National Coach of the Year honors, Selvage was also named the 2015 South Region Coach of the Year, making her second straight time taking home top coaching honors in the region.

Selvage led Lock Haven on a remarkable run during the 2015 season, which ended in the NCAA Division II National Championship game.

Lock Haven was ranked No 2 in the final IWLCA Division II weekly poll. LHU lost only once in 2015, falling to Adelphi in overtime, 5-4 in the NCAA title contest. The Bald Eagles rattled off 20 straight wins to earn a spot in the national championship game.

Lock Haven finished the season at 20-1.

The 20 wins are a school record for the most in a season.

LHU won the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) regular season title and the tournament title.

The 2015 NCAA tournament appearance marked the eighth for the Bald Eagles and third straight.
