Keystone 9-10 Earn Walk-Off 3-2 Win over Danville

key-base-logoPINE GROVE – In a tightly contested battle, Keystone earned a storybook ending and a 3-2 walk-off win over Danville in the Section 3 winner’s bracket final.

After three scoreless innings, Danville plated a run in the top of the fourth inning and duplicated that effort in the fifth inning to take a 2-0 lead.

Chase Brush pounded a leadoff double for Keystone to start the sixth inning. Keystone scored their first run with no outs on the board. Then with runners on the corners, Levi Schlesinger drove in another run on a fielder’s choice.

Next at the plate was Braylen Corter who pounded an infield single. Then Ashton Probst smashed a double for the walk off win and berth for Keystone in the finals this Friday.

On the mound, Cru Stover pitched 4 2/3 innings then was relieved by Levi Schlesinger who closed out the fifth inning. Braylen Corter kept up the pressure from the mound in the sixth inning. The itching crew combined for 7 strikeouts while only giving up a combined four hits and four walks.

Keystone will face the loser’s bracket champion on Friday evening, the “if” game would be slated for Saturday aa needed.
