Keystone Blue Hands 18-0 Loss to Montour

Keystone Blue offered a balanced attack with another perfect defensive effort and split hitting in the batters box in their semi-final game with Montoursville. At left: Luke Simcox opened the game off with a solo shot over the fence. At right, Chase Brush hit a three run shot in the top of the fourth inning.

key-base-logoMONTOURSVILLE – Another game. Another perfect defensive effort and a solid team effort at the plate earned Keystone Blue another win, dropping Montoursville 18-0 in the 9-10 division of District 12 Little League action.

Luke Simcox opened the game offensively by going yard for a solo homer in the first inning to set the tone for the Boys in Blue.

Chase Brush hit a three run shot in the top of the fourth and went 3-for-4 on the night.

Matt Conklin was 2-for-3, Levi Schlesinger was 2-for-4 and Brady Myers was 2-for-2 on the night.

On the mound, Crus Stover (three innings) and Ashton Probst (one inning) combined for another no-hitter for Keystone

Highlights of the game:
The two in this picture each hit homeruns. On the left Luke Simcox led the game off with a solo shot. On the right, Chase Brush hit a three run shot in the top of the fourth inning. Chase was 3 for 4 on the night and Matt Conklin was 2 for 3. Levi Schlesinger was 2 for 4. Brady Myers was 2 for 2.

Keystone Blue will now advance to the District 12 Championship game to he held Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 6 p.m. at Loyalsock with an opponent yet to be determined.

Meanwhile Keystone White was eliminated from the tournament with a 11-5 loss to Williamsport.
