Giant Yard Sale and Craft Show

CASTANEA – A giant yard sale will be held on June 6, 2015 from 8 AM to 2 PM in the Big Woods Bible Church parking lot. Big Woods Bible Church is located at 120 Logan Street in Castanea. Most items in the yard sale can be purchased by donation. Only a few items will be priced. The event will be held rain or shine.

For the first time a craft show will be held in conjunction with the yard sale. It will operate during the same time frame and is scheduled for rain or shine as well.

This is the fourth year for this event. It is held to raise funds to support the church’s Mission trip to Guatemala. This year’s team is the largest to date with 28 adults and teens making the trip. The village where the team spends the week is Cruz Blanca. During past visits they have installed water filtration systems in village homes, planted gardens; they have conducted a vacation Bible School for village children and have had a care day for some of the women. This year they will again conduct the Vacation Bible School, and do some construction projects at the new learning center. The 2015 trip will take place from August 10th through the 17th.
