WILDCATS IN FOURTH OF PENN MANOR TOURNAMENT

MILLERSVILLE – The Central Mountain Wildcats, just off a dual meet win over Shikallemy, advance five wrestlers into the Saturday’s championship quarterfinals of the 44-team Penn Manor Holiday Classic at Penn Manor High School in Millersville and currently are in fourth place in the team field with 88.5 points.
Maryland powerhouse Mount Saint Joseph leads the field with 107 points and 10 wrestlers in the championship quarterfinals. Salesianum (Delaware) is second with 104 points and seven wrestlers in the quarterfinals. The only other area team entered is State College who is currently in eighth place with five in the quarterfinals and 77.5 points.
The Wildcats’ Hunter Nace (107), Gavin Heverly (121), Aiden Kunes (145), Todd Caris (215) and Hayes Henry (285) are advancing into the championship quarterfinals. The Wildcats also have five wrestlers still alive in the consolation rounds, as Angelo Tarantella (114), Patrick Tarantella (133), Hayes Donley (139), Luke Garman (145) and Tanner McCall (189).
The Wildcats have no entries at 152 or 160 pounds, as there is also a JV Tournament on Saturday and the Wildcats will have a lot of wrestlers entered in that event.
