Bulldogs Suffer Narrow Losses

Both Baseball and Softball Teams Fall in PIAA Round of 16

JERSEY SHORE – The Bulldogs sent both their baseball and softball teams into the PIAA AAA playoffs today and both suffered difficult losses in the round of 16.

The Bulldog baseball team went into extra innings before falling to Abington Heights by a score of 1-0, the game played at Marywood University. A walkoff single in the bottom of the eighth broke a scoreless tie and sent Abington Heights into the state quarterfinals.

The Bulldog softball team fell behind by an 8-4 score to Bethlehem Catholic and rallied with two runs in the seventh inning but fell short by an 8-6 final, the game played at Allentown.

Both ‘Shore teams had won District 4 AAA championships.
