Altoona Edges Central Mountain in Regular Season Finale

ALTOONA – The Central Mountain golf team wrapped up its regular season Wednesday at Park Hills Golf Course, battling tough, dry conditions in an 18-hole matchup with the Mountain Lions.

The Wildcats turned in a strong performance but came up just short, falling 321–327 in a narrow District 6 contest. Central Mountain senior Michael Lodek earned medalist honors with an impressive round of 74. Altoona was led by Krieghoff Cumming, who carded a 77.

The match concludes regular season play for Central Mountain. The Wildcats will shift their focus to the upcoming sectional tournament, scheduled for next Tuesday at Sinking Valley Golf Course.
