Quakers Dominate Bucks 18-1

bucks-baseballFAREWELL – Millville came in on Friday with a little better weather for the Bucks. But the Bucks were not warm enough yet as Millville won 18-1 in four innings. Millville scored ten of the runs in the fourth inning alone.

Millville runners were stealing or being given bases without an effort. Bucktail again only had two hits in which they came in the second inning. Mason led off with a single, Ryan Prebble walked as Collin Spencer hit into a double play. It was Tom Miller who had the other hit for the only RBI in the game.

Bucktail had two outs in the fourth inning as Millville scored eight of its ten runs with two outs. Just total lack of concentration during that inning for the third out. At least four times the Bucks had the third out during the inning before they finally got the third out.

Last Thursday, Bucktail was only able to have two hits on Montgomery snowflakes that they were throwing to the Bucks as the Red Raiders won 11-0 in five innings. Montgomery’s total 9 runs in the fourth and fifth inning to end the game.

Tom Miller of Bucktail was pitching fine until the third inning as he had two outs before giving up a hard double into right center field as this runner would score on two steals. The Bucks had chances in the second inning as Keifer Mason walked. Brandon Payne hit a shot out to right field for a single but Mason was thrown out at third base on the hit. In the fourth inning, the Bucks had bases loaded with two outs and could not score.

We have pitchers that are new at the mound. Miller did a good job as he allowed just one hit. But its the errors that are hurting us during the game. Montgomery just tee off on Josh Knauff and Aaron Ransdorf as the both of them combined for 8 hits being given up.

The Bucks will host CMVT on Thursday starting at 4:30 p.m. Then turn around and travel to CMVT on Friday for a 4:30 p.m. start. On Monday the Bucks will travel to Sullivan County starting at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday they will host Cowanesque Valley as the first pitch is at 4:30 p.m.
