PA State Police – Lamar Barracks News Release
DUI
WAYNE TOWNSHIP— On March 26, 2025, at 7:47 p.m., PSP Lamar initiated a traffic stop on a black 2015 Chevrolet Traverse. After their investigation, the driver, identified as a 40-year-old male from Mill Hall, was taken into custody for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Suicide Attempt
GREENE TOWNSHIP— On March 26, 2025, at 9:15 a.m., PSP Lamar responded to East Valley Road to assist a young male with receiving medical and psychiatric help due to suicidal thoughts. The individual was transported by ambulance to UPMC Lock Haven Hospital, where he was admitted for treatment.
Motor Vehicle Accident
LAMAR TOWNSHIP— On March 24, 2025, at 1:17 p.m., a crash occurred when Rachael Muir, 43, from Lamar, was traveling west on Long Run Road and rear-ended a 2015 Ford Escape while it was legally parked off the right side of the roadway. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage as a result of the crash, but no injuries were reported.
Found Property
PORTER TOWNSHIP— On March 23, 2025, at 3:28 p.m., PSP Lamar responded to Aspen Lane for a report of property that was found. A fraudulent PA driver’s license was found on the complainant’s property. No further information was included in the report issued by PSP Lamar.
Disorderly Conduct
LOGANTON BOROUGH— On March 23, 2025, PSP Lamar responded to a property dispute on E. Main Street. It was determined that the suspect was instigating a fight by making verbal threats while walking around the victim’s home and nearby roadway. The victim, identified as a 33-year-old male from Loganton, has declined to cooperate with future court proceedings, according to the report issued by PSP Lamar.
DUI
CITY OF LOCK HAVEN— On March 22, 2025, at approximately 2:32 a.m., PSP Lamar initiated a traffic stop on a gray 2009 Chevrolet Equinox in the 100 block of E. Water Street for a traffic violation. During the investigation, it was determined that the driver, identified as a 33-year-old male from Lock Haven, was under the influence of alcoholic beverages. Chemical testing was consented to, and criminal charges are pending lab results.
Criminal Mischief
CHAPMAN TOWNSHIP— On March 20, 2025, PSP Lamar troopers responded to a report of criminal mischief on Jack Paulhamus Parkway. Unknown suspect(s) trespassed onto the property and attempted to operate machinery that was stored there. They were unable to properly operate a grader and backed the blade into one of its tires, causing damage. Retail Theft/Shoplifting
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On March 20, 2025, PSP Lamar responded to Walmart in Mill Hall for a report of Retail Theft. After the troopers’ investigation, a 35-year-old male from Renovo was cited for retail theft through Magisterial District Court 25-3-02.
DUI Crash
CRAWFORD TOWNSHIP— On March 19, 2025, at approximately 10:30 p.m., PSP Lamar was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash in the 2500 block of Rauchtown Road involving Robert Furl, 58, from Loganton. Furl was driving south in the 2500 block of Rauchtown Road (SR-880). His 2010 Ford Flex veered off the right side of the road, leading to a loss of control of the vehicle. The vehicle crossed both lanes and went off the left side, where it shrubbery before getting stuck. Furl fled the scene of the crash on foot but was located nearby and found to be under the influence of alcohol. No injuries were reported. Furl was arrested for DUI and refused chemical testing.
PFA Violation
PINE CREEK TOWNSHIP— On March 18, 2025, at approximately 6:42 p.m., PSP Lamar received a call from a female victim protected by a PFA order. She reported that her husband, who is subject to the active protection order, stopped by and invited her to get ice cream. The 78-year-old man was arrested for violating the PFA, and he was taken to the Clinton County Correctional Facility.
Motor Vehicle Crash
GREENE TOWNSHIP— On March 18, 2025, at 3:13 p.m., a crash occurred in the 200 block of 880/Rauchtown Road. Quinton Murawski, 28, from Salladasburg, was traveling south when he hit a patch of ice, causing him to lose control. His vehicle veered off the west berm, struck the west embankment, and became disabled. Murawski sustained minor injuries in the crash.
Criminal Mischief
SOUTH RENOVO BOROUGH— On March 18, 2025, at 4:50 p.m., PSP Lamar responded to 1st Street for a report of Criminal Mischief. PSP is currently investigating the matter.
Motor Vehicle Crash
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On March 18, 2025, at 12:58 a.m., a crash occurred involving Russell Elkins, 53, from Lock Haven. While traveling south on Millbrook Plaza Lane, he lost control of his vehicle, veering into the opposing lane and hitting a light pole on its front right side. The vehicle stopped facing south and sustained disabling damage to the front. No injuries were reported.
Harassment w/Physical Contact
LAMAR TOWNSHIP— On March 17, 2024, PSP Lamar troopers responded to Sun Valley Road for a domestic dispute. Citations were filed through Magisterial District Court 25-3-02 on a 57-year-old male from Lock Haven and a 45-year-old female from Mill Hall as a result of the incident.
Residential Burglary
AVIS BOROUGH— On March 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., PSP Lamar troopers responded to E. Central Avenue for a report of an inactive domestic dispute. Through investigation, it was alleged that Seth Carson, 36, from Jersey Shore, forced his way into the residence and refused to leave. According to the report issued by PSP Lamar, during the argument, Carson caused damage to a 42-inch tv, grabbed a victim’s breast, and licked her face. Carson refused to leave the residence during the incident but was later located and taken into custody. Applicable charges were filed through Magisterial District Court 25-3-01.
Harassment
LOGTANTON BOROUGH— On March 13, 2025, PSP Lamar Troopers responded to N. Mill Street for a report of Harassment. This investigation is ongoing.
PFA Violation
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— PSP Lamar is investigating a reported PFA violation that occurred online on March 5, 2025. Specifically, the violation occurred when a protected party of the PFA order was contacted via Facebook by the subject of the PFA, identified as a 35-year-old male from Stratford, CT. The subject was barred from contacting the protected person using social media, and charges have been filed through Magisterial District Court 25-3-02.
Dog Law/Non-Animal Cruelty
SOUTH RENOVO BOROUGH— On March 1, 2025, around 5:00 p.m., a 36-year-old woman was walking her dog when she turned onto Clinton Avenue in South Renovo. She reportedly encountered an unleashed neighboring dog that began growling and chasing them. After she managed to escape and lost sight of the dog, she contacted PSP Lamar. The dog’s owner, a 45-year-old woman from Renovo, was charged through Magisterial District Court 25-3-03.
Harassment
LAMAR TOWNSHIP— On March 1, 2025, PSP Lamar responded to an incident at 34 Youngs Addition involving harassment. The minor victim did not wish to press charges.
Disorderly Conduct
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On February 14, 2025, at approximately 2:42 p.m., PSP Lamar received a report from Central Mountain High School that a student, who school officials were familiar with, was taking orders for a school fundraiser. It was discovered that the student did not return the paperwork or cash and kept the money. The student was charged through Magisterial District Court 25-3-02.
Motor Vehicle Crash
GREENE TOWNSHIP— On February 2, 2025, Lanzhen Ni, a 46-year-old woman from Flushing, NY, was driving east in the left lane of I-80 near mile marker 188.7 at a speed of 48-50 mph. Her 2022 Mercedes-Benz XXX veered off the north shoulder and struck a roadside ditch. The vehicle then continued traveling east for about 50 yards on the grass before coming to a controlled stop. It sustained significant damage to the driver-side front wheel and quarter panel, but no injuries were reported.
